Winnerwell Fastfold Ultralight Titanium Stove Titanium stove
Winnerwell's immensely popular folding titanium stove is now available in an ultra-light version weighing only 998 grams including the chimney! This is the stove for those who are attracted by the ingenious design of the fastfold stove, but at the same time want to save as many grams as possible in their backpack.
The stove is slightly smaller than the other fastfold stoves, with dimensions (assembled) of 325 x 152 x 150 mm. However, the size is so large that you can actually get 25 cm long logs into the stove without any problems.
The chimney is slightly different in size from our other titanium chimneys, so the chimney for this stove is included in the purchase (normally we sell the chimneys separately).
Use and design
Winnerwell's fastfold stoves are ultra-lightweight, collapsible stoves that brighten up life in the harshest of tent climates. The stove is made of the very light and heat-resistant material titanium. It is primarily intended for the long-distance hiker, hunter, or why not the pack rafter, who, despite his otherwise relatively heavy pack, wants the opportunity to treat himself to extra comfort in the camp after a tough day in nature.
The Winnerwell fastfold ultralight can be used in all types of tents that have a dedicated chimney opening, such as Seek Outside's Cimarron tent and Luxe Outdoor's Minipeak XL and F8e tents. In larger tents such as the Redcliff, the size of the fastfold ultralight may be on the small side and you are advised to choose a Seek Outside stove in size Large or SXL, or alternatively a Winnerwell Fastfold Plus.
In addition to the fact that the Winnerwell fastfold ultralight significantly increases the comfort and atmosphere in the tent, regardless of the ambient temperature, the stove also forms a natural base for cooking. On the stove you can easily make coffee or cook your food in the frying pan. By using the stove as a kitchen and planning your meals smartly, you can easily save space and weight in your backpack. In your warm tent, you can dry your wet clothes and boots and start the next day's adventure dry and comfortable. A stove is also one of the best ways to prevent condensation in humid tent climates.
The stove can also be used as a firebox if you don't put the lid on - this gives you the opportunity to use the stove as a normal barbecue instead of burning on the ground, which protects sensitive environments. As a bonus, you get significantly better combustion in the stove compared to if you would have burned on the ground.
Good to know
When using the Winnerwell fastfold ultralight in tents, it is important to understand the safety risks associated with stoves in tents. Make sure there are no flammable items near or under the stove and also make sure there is a way for fresh air to enter your tent when the stove is burning. Your tent must have a hole specially adapted for a hot chimney. All our Luxe Outdoors tents have such an opening, but there are many other tents that have their own chimney openings. It is always a good idea to protect the ground under the stove from the heat, for example by placing a few sheets of aluminum foil under the stove. We also sell fireproof mats.
The first time you use your new titanium stove, it needs to be 'burned in'. This gives the chimney its final shape and makes it much easier to unfold and roll up. The first time you roll up the chimney, it takes a little patience before it is rolled up. Watch a video on how to fold your titanium chimney for the first time.
Keep in mind that the length of the chimney should be at least 30 cm higher than the highest point of the tent. The total height of this stove (stove + chimney) is 225 cm.
Make sure to clean (soot clean) the damper, spark guard and chimney after each use so that the parts do not soot up again.
Sooner or later you will experience sparks on the canvas which will result in very small holes in the fabric. The amount of sparks can be greatly reduced by burning dry wood and preferably not spruce. If you get spark holes on the canvas, this can easily be repaired with a small click of seam sealer. We recommend Gear Aid Seam Grip WP for polyester tents and Gear Aid SIL for nylon tents.
We recommend NOT using this type of lightweight stove in very strong winds, as there is a risk that the chimney could collapse, causing damage to the tent or, in the worst case, a fire. If you still want to use the stove in strong winds, you must use storm ropes to anchor the chimney to the ground (there are three attachment points on the spark arrestor), or use a shorter chimney that does not catch so much wind.

Instructions for rolling your chimney the first time
NOTE! The first time you roll the chimney, take extra care to avoid dents on the barrel. Have at least one person help you roll the chimney before the first use. When the chimney is used for the first time, it is "burned in" and takes on its final shape. It is only the first time that it is a bit of a hassle to shape the chimney.

It's perfect! Lightweight but still big enough to warm the tent and food. To preserve the heat better, you can put stones on it. Expensive, but why save money when you can buy happiness...
Everything works fine, nice mite, easy to use, BUT ! , weighs 1.2 kg in total, ie 20% more than the stated weight. Remove the two steel fixing nails and you are approaching 1 kg. They are not needed I think. Run it in a regular UL tunnel tent vestibule, with stove jack.
