Anfibio Sigma TXL+ – hybrid packraft for one or two people

The Anfibio Sigma TXL+ is one of our lightest two-man models. Equipped with the Anfibio Multimat, the Sigma TXL is capable of carrying extra luggage and two adult passengers. The packraft is particularly suitable for paddlers looking for a packraft that can be easily transformed from a one- to a two-person packraft.

Area of use

Anfibio Sigma TXL+ is suitable for those who need to carry a spacious packraft on the hike, at the lowest possible weight. The packraft is best suited to calm waters (smaller lakes, rivers, easy flowing sections) but can be used in up to class 2 rapids if necessary.

If the packraft is to be paddled by two people at the same time, we recommend using a multipaddle.

Design

The Anfibio Sigma TX has an overall length of 280 centimeters (slightly longer than its relative, the Anfibio Sigma TX) and an inner length of 180 cm. The parallel tubes make the packing force fast in the water, while the weight is kept to a minimum by the small volume of the stern and bow. The diameter of the tubes is slightly larger than on Anfibio's other models, which makes the packraft suitable for carrying slightly heavier loads, especially in combination with a Multimat.

The boat comes with a variable seating system as standard, consisting of a repositionable seat and an adjustable, contoured backrest/belt, as well as an additional rear seat with backrest. The Packraft can thus be paddled either alone or with another person.

Sigma is equipped with a total of six attachment points (2 rear and four front) for bags, deckpacks, or anything else that needs to be attached while paddling.

The packraft has no canopy.

Tubebags

Tubebags are the name of Anfibio's internal storage system, included as standard with the purchase of a Sigma TXL. Using two zippers on either side of the cockpit, it is possible to store equipment inside the packraft's tubes. Each zipper conceals its own, fully waterproof, storage compartment of 100 liters each. We call these compartments 'chambers' because they are separate from the large chamber that makes up the rest of the packraft. Even if one of the zippers were to accidentally open a little bit out on the water, the packraft still retains the air pressure in the large chamber. Because of this, tubebags are not only a great way to store equipment, they also provide extra peace of mind.

To use the tubebags, Anfibio recommends first opening the zipper, packing the equipment (filling the two storage chambers), closing the zippers and inflating the large chamber. When it is time to remove the equipment from the tubebags, Anfibio recommends opening the valve to the large chamber first, then opening the zippers and removing the equipment.

The Anfibio Sigma TXL is equipped with extra large Anfibio TubeBags as standard.

Fin/skid

The packer can be equipped with a fin. The fin improves the tracking stability of the packraft. If you are going to paddle over longer distances, where grounding is not a major risk, we highly recommend using the fin. If you know you will be paddling in shallow areas, we recommend you remove the fin to avoid damaging it. The fin is included in the purchase.

Max load

The packer can transport a total weight of 200 kilos. Together with a Multimat, this figure is significantly increased.

Material

Anfibio Sigma TXL is made from specialized TPU nylon material that has high tear and abrasion resistance despite its low weight. The Plus(+) variant of Anfibio's TPU nylon is 17% heavier but 80% stronger thanks to higher weave density, stronger fibers and increased layer thickness.
