MRS Ponto

MRS Ponto is a simple, stylish packraft without a canopy. Ponto is made of the same robust and lightweight material as other MRS packrafts.

Ponto is particularly suitable for people who require a little extra comfort and space. Maybe you need to bring that pile of firewood you've been dying to have for the evening bonfire, or why not take your bike on a biker rafting trip? Ponto is also a great packraft when you want to take your dog or child on an adventure.

Ponto is best suited for paddling in calm waters and light rapids.

To save weight and packing volume, the MRS Ponto has no canopy deck.

ISS (Internal Storage System)

As an option, the Ponto can be supplied with a pre-installed internal storage system, known as ISS. This means that with the help of a waterproof TiZip zipper, the tubes on the packer can be used as internal storage space. It is now possible to transport large amounts of equipment inside the pontoons without taking up any available seating space.

MRS uses TiZip's best chain in its packrafts, Masterseal 10, which withstands pressure tests up to 500 mbar.

Transporting packing inside the pack truck has many advantages:

• Everything carried inside the ISS is guaranteed to stay dry. Two (huge) waterproof packing bags with roll closure are also included with the purchase. The bags have a size of 130x30cm.
• Packing the tubes through the ISS lowers the center of gravity, resulting in a more stable ride.
• A huge increase in packable surface compared to the same model without ISS.

The disadvantage of the ISS is that it is not possible to access the packing inside the packraft without letting the air out. Therefore, the ISS is particularly suitable for transporting camp equipment such as tents, sleeping bags, most of the food for the trip, etc.

Fena

All MRS Packrafts come with a removable fin to increase course stability and maximum speed when paddling.

Material specification

All MRS models are made of urethane-coated nylon, a material that is UV-tolerant, abrasion-resistant, resistant to aging and flexible at low temperatures. The boat has sewn and welded joints.

Tuber: 210 Denier UPN35 Nylon, coated with TPU (3,2mil 67T*55T 90 A Ether TPU) on one side.
Bottom: 840 Denier UPN35 Nylon, coated with TPU (6mil 67T*55T 90 A Ether TPU) on both sides.
Seat: 210 Denier laminated nylon.

MRS is fully involved in the development process of the materials it uses, and has its own product development. The TPU material that MRS exclusively uses is developed in close cooperation with a large American company in order to offer customers the highest possible quality.

Ponto, is suitable for a paddler accompanied by a smaller dog or a small child. The outer length is 254 cm and the outer width is 92 cm.

What is included?

MRS Ponto is delivered together with fin and fin holder, repair material (not glue), inflation bag, seat and backrest.

Why Packraft Sverige?

We are often asked by customers why they should buy a packraft from us, when they can find cheaper packrafts online. We think there are some reasonable reasons.
