Anfibio Rebel 2K is the latest addition to the Anfibio line-up. Rebel 2K is a packraft that is suitable for those looking for a very lightweight, weatherproof packraft at a reasonable price. The packraft has a complete weight of only 1975 grams and when packed takes up no more space in your bag than a 2-liter pet bottle!

Area of use

Anfibio's packrafts are absolutely best suited for users who want to travel very light and for those who want to use their packraft as an aid/tool to get around in the wilderness. Maybe you need to paddle a bit on a river to continue your hike, or cross a lake to reach the mountain you want to climb. The Anfibio Rebel 2K works best on calm and easy flowing waters. The packing weight is so small and flexible that you can always carry it in your car, bag, or on your bike. We think the Anfibio Rebel 2K is perfect for hikers, fishermen and photographers looking for a tool to fulfill their dreams in nature. The Rebel 2K is not intended for use in strong rapids.

Unimat

The Rebel 2K can be equipped with the optional Anfibio Unimat 150 accessory, which is an inflatable floor designed for smaller to normal-sized packrafts.

The floor improves paddling characteristics by providing increased stiffness in the bottom and throughout the boat, resulting in better glide and stability. The floor elevates the seating position for better visibility and comfort and insulates against cold and moisture. In addition, it can be used as a sleeping pad if needed.

Design

The Rebel 2K is symmetrically designed, which means that the bow and stern are designed in the same way, with a length of 52 cm. The tubes have a diameter of 27 cm, which is enough to carry up to 150 kilograms. The tubes are parallel to each other, which means that the packraft can achieve a relatively high speed, compared to several other manufacturers' models. All Anfibio packrafts are made of a very light and durable nylon material, further reinforced with a special surface treatment. 7 grabloops (attachment points) are placed at strategic locations on the packraft. The packer is equipped with the very simple and reliable Boston valve, also used by MRS.

The Anfibio Rebel 2K is equipped with a canopy that protects against rain and water splashes, and provides warmth in colder weather. When it is hot and dry outside, the J-shaped opening of the canopy can be attached to the side of the cockpit using a zipper and Velcro, so that you instead have an open cockpit without a canopy. The canopy has no loose parts that risk disappearing on your trips. All seams on the canopy are seam-sealed, so that water is prevented from penetrating.

Tubebags

Tubebags are the name of Anfibio's internal storage system, available as an option with the purchase of a Rebel 2K. Using two zippers on either side of the cockpit, it is possible to store equipment inside the tubes of the packraft. Each zipper conceals its own, fully waterproof, storage compartment of 70 liters each. We call these compartments 'chambers' because they are separate from the large chamber that makes up the rest of the packraft. Even if one of the zippers were to accidentally open out on the water, the packraft still retains the air pressure in the large chamber. Because of this, tubebags are not only a great way to store equipment, they also provide extra peace of mind.

To use the tubebags, Anfibio recommends first opening the zipper, packing the equipment (filling the two storage chambers), closing the zippers and inflating the large chamber. When it is time to remove the equipment from the tubebags, Anfibio recommends opening the valve to the large chamber first, then opening the zippers and removing the equipment.

Fin/skid

The packraft has an integrated fin. The fin improves the tracking stability of the packraft. If you are going to paddle over longer distances, where grounding is not a major risk, we highly recommend using the fin. If you know you will be paddling in shallow areas, we recommend you remove the fin to avoid damaging it.
