MRS Nomad S1D XL
With its long, narrow, kayak-like shape, the MRS Nomad S1D XL is specially designed for faster paddling in both calm waters and rapids. Its symmetrical bow and stern, combined with a long waterline, make the MRS Nomad the fastest pack raft in the MRS lineup, alongside its bigger brother, the MRS Barracuda R2.
The centrally positioned seat immediately brings to mind a conventional kayak. The MRS Nomad is the ultimate packraft for extended paddling trips. However, the MRS Nomad is one of the heaviest packrafts in the MRS lineup, so if you plan to hike longer distances with your gear, we recommend one of MRS’s lighter models instead, such as the MRS Ponto or the MRS Microraft.
The S1D XL is an extended version of the standard MRS Nomad. The XL version is suitable for people up to 195 cm tall.
Chapel & other equipment
The spray deck that comes with the Nomad is a hybrid spray deck, providing excellent protection against the elements. The spray deck is mounted on a frame that reinforces the cockpit and allows for the use of a spray skirt. If needed—for example, in dry or warm weather—the spray deck can be rolled up using YKK zippers and secured at the bow to create an open cockpit. When paddling in the rain or in rapids, the canopy can be easily rolled back, and the paddler, together with the spray skirt, achieves excellent protection against wetness and cold.
The packraft is equipped with an adjustable backrest, which allows adjustment of the seating position according to the paddler's height.
Fena
All MRS Packrafts come with a removable fin to increase course stability and maximum speed when paddling.

Why Packraft Sverige?
We are often asked by customers why they should buy a packraft from us, when they can find cheaper packrafts online. We think there are some reasonable reasons.
- First of all, it's about knowledge. We have been selling and renting packrafts since 2015 and have learned a lot over the years. We know our customers and we know our products. We want to and will at all costs make the customer happy by providing fast and knowledgeable service.
- You are supporting a 'local' retailer. We are located in Tived, just outside the Tived National Park. You don't have to wait for weeks for the packaging you bought from other countries to arrive in Sweden. Everything on our website is in stock and is usually delivered to you as a customer within 2-3 working days. And you always pay the price that is stated - no hidden import costs, customs duties or other charges.
- Buying cheap doesn't usually make it cheaper. The products we sell may cost a little more, but in return you get a better product from a salesperson who knows everything about it. You can be proud that you're not contributing more than necessary to the 'throwaway' society - our hope is that you'll be able to use the product for a long time!

2 reviews of the MRS Nomad S1D XL – a fast solo packraft for longer paddling trips
Best packing power and fastest packing power for lakes, rivers, rivers, sea (coast). (Have had a bunch of different packing power so have compared diligently)
Have paddled this myself in all weather and water and it handles more like a kayak than any other. Prefer it even to a lot of inflatable kayaks. it can be packed incredibly smart even without ISS; behind the seat under the canopy, and behind the backrest of the canopy and in front of the cockpit of the canopy, a bowbag or kayak bag fits perfectly so you do not have to stretch or change sitting position to reach.
This works fine in rapids up to class II, it should also work in Class III, which it basically does, but due to the shape it wants to stand on the broadside and in class III it is more noticeable and creates more problems.
If you paddle a lot of rapids, you ideally need another packraft in the fleet, but without rapids you only need this one and no other can compete.
(P.s. very narrow for the feet in the bow so for anyone over 180cm beware, I'm 180 and it's right on the limit. But I can use a MRS footrest to get a better foothold)
An absolutely fantastic packraft that is superior in the water compared to most others in terms of speed.
Another big advantage is that you have the pack behind you which gives a natural extra back support.
However, there are a couple of drawbacks which prevent me from giving full marks and that is firstly
the space for my feet, it's so cramped that I can't fit both feet next to each other,
and stretching my legs is not possible at all (I am 183cm tall).
The other disadvantage is that if I have to carry luggage behind me, the weight makes the cockpit
gets warped so that I can't use the skirt for rain protection, but otherwise it is an incredibly nice boat
which has now been on a lot of adventures since I bought it.
