MRS Microraft Velcrodeck

The MRS Microraft Velcrodeck builds on the Microraft series' greatest strength – versatility. Its low weight and compact format make the packraft easy to carry in your backpack, while it is designed to handle everything from calm lakes and flowing rivers to more demanding waters.

The packraft is ideal for hikers and fishermen, but is also a popular choice for photographers, hunters, and other outdoor enthusiasts who want to be able to travel smoothly across water. The Microraft Velcrodeck also works very well in lighter rapids, provided that the correct safety equipment is used (helmet, life jacket, and dry suit).

The design features parallel tubes, an extended stern, and a slightly upturned, pointed nose, providing a well-balanced combination of stability, maneuverability, and efficient paddling.

The MRS Microraft Velcrodeck is suitable for paddlers of all heights, but for shorter individuals (under approximately 180 cm), we recommend MRS Advanced Footrests for increased comfort and better paddling ergonomics.

chapel

The chapel is the main difference between the MRS Microraft Velcrodeck and the closely related MRS Microraft Hybrid Deck.

The Velcrodeck is equipped with a removable canopy that opens on both sides with Velcro fasteners, making it quick and easy to get in and out of the packraft. This canopy solution is not as waterproof as the Hybrid Deck, but it is easier to use and does not require a cockpit frame, making the entire system lighter and more flexible.

In calm conditions, you can also leave parts of the canopy at home, or ride without a canopy at all. This makes the Velcrodeck an excellent choice if, for example , you want extra space for a dog, a child, or larger luggage in front of you.

ISS (Internal Storage System)

The MRS Microraft Velcro Deck comes with a pre-installed internal storage system (ISS). A waterproof TIZIP zipper allows the packraft's tubes to be used as internal storage space, making it possible to transport large amounts of equipment without taking up seating space or affecting the paddler's freedom of movement.

MRS uses TIZIP MasterSeal 10, the most robust chain in the TIZIP range, which is pressure tested up to 500 mbar for maximum operational reliability and tightness.

Advantages of internal storage systems (ISS)

• All equipment packed in the ISS is kept completely dry.

• Packing in the tubes lowers the center of gravity, providing increased stability on the water.

• Significantly larger packing volume compared to the corresponding model without ISS

Things to consider

One limitation of the ISS is that the packing cannot be accessed without deflating the packraft. The system is therefore particularly well suited for transporting camping equipment such as tents, sleeping bags, and most of the food supplies for the trip.

What is included?

The MRS Microraft comes complete with a canopy deck, removable fin with mount, inflation bag, seat, backrest, and repair kit (excluding glue) – everything you need to get out on the water right away. ISS is optional.
