MRS Microraft Hybrid Deck

The MRS Microraft is Micro Rafting Systems' best-selling model and is known for its exceptional versatility. Its low weight and compact format make the packraft easy to carry in a backpack, while it is built to handle demanding waters, calmer lakes, and flowing rivers.

The packraft is ideal for hikers and fishermen, but is also widely used by photographers, hunters, and other outdoor enthusiasts who want to be able to move smoothly across water. The Microraft Hybrid Deck also works very well in rapids, provided that the correct safety equipment is used (helmet, life jacket, and dry suit).

The design of the MRS Microraft is characterized by parallel tubes, an extended stern, and a slightly upward-pointing, pointed bow, providing a balanced combination of stability, maneuverability, and glide.

MRS Microraft is suitable for paddlers of all heights, but for shorter people (under approx. 180 cm) we recommend MRS Advanced Footrests for increased comfort and better paddling ergonomics.

chapel

The canopy on the MRS Microraft Hybrid Deck is designed with a cockpit combined with a paddle skirt, which provides a virtually dry paddling experience. In dry or warm conditions, the canopy can be easily rolled off by opening the longitudinal YKK zippers and then attaching the canopy to the front of the packraft.

The cockpit is stabilized by the included frame, over which the paddle skirt is pulled when paddling in wetter conditions. This provides a tight and stable solution that is suitable for both calmer waters and more demanding environments.

MRS Microraft is also available with an alternative canopy solution – see MRS Microraft Velcrodeck.

Fena

All MRS packrafts come with a removable fin that improves course stability and contributes to more efficient paddling and higher top speeds, especially on open water and longer distances.

ISS (Internal Storage System)

The MRS Microraft Hybrid Deck comes with a pre-installed internal storage system (ISS). A waterproof TIZIP zipper allows the packraft's tubes to be used as internal storage space, making it possible to transport large amounts of equipment without taking up seating space or affecting the paddler's freedom of movement.

MRS uses TIZIP MasterSeal 10, the most robust chain in the TIZIP range, which is pressure tested up to 500 mbar for maximum operational reliability and tightness.

Advantages of internal storage systems (ISS)

  • All equipment packed in the ISS is kept completely dry.

  • Packing in the tubes lowers the center of gravity, providing increased stability on the water.

  • Significantly larger packing volume compared to the corresponding model without ISS

Things to consider

One limitation of the ISS is that the packing cannot be accessed without deflating the packraft. The system is therefore particularly well suited for transporting camping equipment such as tents, sleeping bags, and most of the food supplies for the trip.

Material specification

All packraft models fromMRSare made ofurethane-coated nylon, a material that isUV-resistant, abrasion-resistant, and resistant to aging, while retaining itsflexibility even at low temperatures. Practical, user-friendly, durable and of good quality. It has plenty of storage space both in and on. Comfortable to sit in. I don't know if it's relevant, but I'm 170 cm tall and can have my legs fully extended in it. I sometimes keep a water-resistant stuff sack at the front by my feet, for extra support.

I am 170 bought small fits perfectly. good quality.

The first trip was on calm water and upwind, not a good combination. It is probably much better suited to the mountains. A sturdy craft that can still be carried in the backpack.

Have paddled now a couple of times since a very fast delivery by the way! Works really well and it's so much fun and I just want to get out more! Takes up little space, does not weigh dangerously and is easy to inflate and deflate. It could have been a little wider but you can't have everything. I am 168cm and chose LARGE to have as much space as possible. But it gets around fine from what I have tried and have also been out in strong headwinds and had to fight well but it went really well!

Great service, great products, Mine is small is 177 and the road 74kilo fits me great?

    4.5/5 points.

Packraft Sverige has fast delivery and my MRS Microraft felt directly cruel in terms of quality! It takes up little space, is easy to inflate, and extremely fun to paddle with! I also bought a Celtic Paddle and a NRS ninja life jacket. I am extremely happy with both.

The only minus I have is that the canopy leaks from the right side, the seam between the canopy bracket and the gasket. I have sealed this myself with liquid sole/aquaseal. Which I am convinced will make it tight!

Almost full pot for Packraft Sverige

A fantastic packraft! It's very easy to assemble upside down, takes up relatively little space and weighs ridiculously little.

I am currently on a fly fishing trip in the valleys where packrafter is included. It gives a whole new dimension to the adventure.

NOTE! The cover over the raft (spray cover) only has taped seams in the middle sections. Along the zipper (right side and behind the back) the tape is missing. This means that water collects on the right side and then runs down the right hip. This is for light use (not rain or rapids). The tip is to impregnate the surfaces / seams before use. Only had the defense's skin ointment now, but when I get home it will be something wax-based. You take what you have ...

I’d like to thank Packraft-Sverige for superb service and advice leading up to my purchase—first-class!
I bought my Microraft in size L; I’m 186 cm tall, and it feels like it’s right at the limit of what’s comfortable to sit in—keep in mind that these boats are pretty cramped around the feet. Otherwise, the boat is of excellent quality and craftsmanship—actually better than I had imagined. You can easily pack the boat into a larger 90–110L backpack if you want to bring a tent and everything else you need for a couple of nights’ adventure on a deserted island or something similar.Of course, a smaller backpack will work if you’re just heading out for the day—just keep in mind that the paddles take up space too. I’ve had a chance to use the boat now in lakes, rivers, and ponds, and I’ve even had a couple of serious groundings
against sharp rocks—the material holds up, not a single scratch or anything. Are you an adventure seeker like me who wants to combine hiking with paddling and venture further into the wilderness more easily? Don’t hesitate any longer—buy it!

Up with the blinds - Sun out there! Get out your backpack, pack coffee, a sandwich and a MRS micro raft, then just go out and choose a watercourse. It doesn't get any easier than that! Perfect apartment boat for us without storage space, tack rail or trailer. I am genuinely happy with this brilliant boat. Chose between this MRS mircroraft (M) and MRS barracuda solo, the choice was then based on the weight and pack size. As I want to be able to combine paddling with hiking. With this packraft I can easily explore and discover new places without being afraid of long lifts or obstacles. Very satisfied with both the boat and the company Packraft Sverige.

Once I tried Packraft, I was hooked. It’s so much easier to carry, and it opens up a whole new world of outdoor adventure—a wonderful combination of hiking and paddling. My Packraft will have just as much of a permanent spot in my backpack as my sleeping bag and cooking gear...!

Quick response from Packraft on personal inquiry. Very helpful with shipping and pleasant personal contact. Can definitely recommend shopping at Packraft. Packraft works flawlessly as intended, both in lakes and protected waters in the archipelago in Norway. Very quick to go from paddling to walking (under 5 min)!

After a lot of research, I decided on the MRS Micro. Martin gave me great advice, and delivery was fast. For someone like me who is 161 lav, size S is absolutely perfect, and with a large backpack on the deck, it becomes much more directionally stable. I’ve tested it over several days and am very satisfied. It’s easy to pack, quick to inflate, great for fishing from, fun to paddle, and as far as I can tell, the quality is excellent in terms of materials, seams, welding, and overall waterproofing. With the Microraft, a whole range of new possibilities has opened up for where to go on trips.

Perfect for those who like water and spontaneous wilderness adventures. Have now been out with my partner and experienced nature along the Nittiälven and Voxnan. I am very impressed with how durable this craft is against stones. Smooth delivery in addition!

Just discovered packrafts and bought myself a MRS Microraft. Fast delivery after ordering, easy to take along, air filling fast and size perfect (small - am 172cm tall). Now hoping for nice weather and warm streams for summer packraft adventures!

Bought mrs microraft medium and got it on promised time without any problems. Have only been out on a 2 day trip so far but with very light and fun paddling. Worked well in waves and wind of 17 m/s. Only downside is that it is slightly too short for me to feel comfortable, I am 183 cm tall.

  19. Ivan

I stood for a long time in the choice and agony between this or Alpacka - Alpaca (S). It became Microraft in size S. I am 168cm and sit really well except that I do not get proper foot support in front but with a backpack or similar it is no problem. At the same time, it is quite nice to be able to stretch out my legs properly. I'm used to paddling a 51cm wide kayak so felt somewhat unfamiliar at first. I can only imagine how wide an Alpacka would be experienced as it has larger air tubes. According to spec 104cm in width against MRS 87cm. Mine was however "only" 83cm. For canoeing, I can imagine that a wider boat is preferable but for me it will be mostly flat paddling and then the MRS is a better choice! Great quality, good customer service and great service! Hope to get many miles in the boat during the summer / fall.

I have only ridden Canadians before, but the feeling with the "packraft" is that happiness can be bought for money! Took a trip during the cold Easter weekend (around zero) and floated through snowy forest landscape like any seabird. With a sleeping pad in the bottom, the cold was not a major problem. Bought a M for me (180cm/70kg), S for partner (170cm/70kg). Both fit well but can be tight for wider people.

I've been thinking about trying packrafting for a long time, but put it off because of the investment. But now that Packraft has started, I took hold of the matter and rented a packraft. Crazy fun!!! Will there be more trips? Everything works perfectly, the stuff came on time, well packed and whole and clean... Absolutely just ++, good service and fair prices, highly recommended!!!

I have for 3-4 years had a desire to one day buy a packraft, there is a lot of money to be spent when you add it all up - the option of doing a gray import was close at hand. After first renting an MRS Medium for 2 days to now buying and having it delivered, I am now extremely pleased that I 1. struck and bought one 2. bought via Packraft and did not import it myself. When I rented, everything worked completely without negative remarks - the stuff arrived on time, was whole and clean. When I received my purchased MRS Medium, there was a minor fault with a valve to the cockpit itself, a fault that could easily have been fixed with a small bead of suitable glue. I made a note of this via email on a Friday afternoon and by Tuesday afternoon my brand new replacement packraft was available for collection. Had I made a gray import via, for example, the USA, I would have had to contact the dealer myself and I myself would have had to send back and explain etc. I am simply very satisfied with the product and extremely satisfied with the level of service and availability.

  23. Ida

Flexible, easy to handle and durable small packraft that can withstand wear and tear. A large backpack fits easily strapped to the bow. I am 167 cm and sat comfortably in the packraft. Rented the Medium size the first time but felt it was too big. Perfect boat to carry with you on the adventure!
