I didn't believe in the blowpipe thing, but a friend showed me that you can get the fire going pretty well with such a thing so I got one. Now that I have one, I can get the fire going in the stove as long as you have some good wood to start the fire with. Invaluable and the blowpipe has already saved some evenings that would otherwise have been cold and damp.
