Luxe Outdoor F8e

The Luxe Outdoor F8e is a four-person floorless tent that can be used all year round. The tent comes into its own when used with a stove, as it comes with a fireproof chimney penetration.

With its coarse weave (40D/260T ripstop nylon), the tent is extremely durable and can withstand the very toughest of weather including rain, snow and high winds.

If you are using the tent together with a stove, we recommend that there are a maximum of 3 people in the tent.

Please note that pole, half or full inner tent and floor are not included as standard.

Please also be aware that the tent will not work with the stove if the full inner tent is used.

Size and design

The Luxe Outdoor F8e is a tipi tent, which means that the tent has a very high resistance to strong winds. The tent is equipped with 16 ground anchor points for tent stakes and a large entrance door. There are ventilation openings along the ground and above the door (all ventilation openings are insect-proof). A snow skirt runs around the bottom of the tent, allowing you to keep out drifting snow or draughts in bitter weather. Inside the tent there are 2 parallel elastic bands that make pitching easier.

At the top of one side of the tent is the chimney grommet for your stove. If you do not intend to use a stove in the tent, it is of course possible to cover the chimney penetration with the supplied piece of canvas that you attach to the tent.

The tent is 185 cm high at the highest point. The inner length is 340 cm (see picture below).

During the colder parts of the year, stoves are a great addition to this tent. It allows for comfort and warmth even in really harsh conditions.

It is worth mentioning that the tent is not supplied with pole, floor and inner tent. If you need a floor as well as insect protection, you use different types of protective mats (footprints) and/or separate mosquito nets that are available for purchase in a variety of variants and price ranges. See "recommended accessories" further down.

Seam sealing

The seams of Luxetents are not seam sealed at the factory. A seam sealer, which is specially made for the purpose, is included in the purchase. The easiest way to seam seal is to pitch the tent on a rain-free day (be sure to tension the tent tightly, so that the seams are properly tightened) and seam seal all seams from the outside of the tent using a small brush or your finger.
