MRS Barracuda R2 Pro

The MRS Barracuda R2 Pro is a two-person packraft that, with its elongated shape and long waterline, is specially adapted for faster paddling in both calmer waters and rapids. The pointed design, with its symmetrical and slightly upward pointing bow and stern, gives the Barracuda R2 Pro a speed that many other packrafts lack. The packraft is particularly suitable for long-distance paddling, multi/adventure races, whitewater rafting and expeditions, but of course works just as well on the fishing trip in the lake next to the summer cottage.

Both seats in the Barracuda R2 Pro have comfortable backrests, with the front one being horizontally adjustable.

The MRS Barracuda R2 Pro is equipped with a hybrid canopy (dual spraydeck) and associated skirts and frames. If necessary, for example in dry or hot weather, the canopy can be completely removed from the packraft via high-quality YKK zippers on either side. When paddling in the rain or in rapids, the packraft, in combination with skirts, achieves very good protection against wet and cold. The accompanying skirts, which are mounted on the frames of the cockpits, make the Barracuda R2 Pro a very water-resistant packraft suitable for long paddles for two people in various types of weather and waterways.

MRS Barracuda R2 Pro can be paddled alone with a kayak paddle, or when paddling together with two kayak paddles, or two canoe paddles. Our multi-paddles are especially suited for paddling in two-man packs.

ISS (Internal Storage System)

The Barracuda R2 Pro comes with a pre-installed internal storage system, known as ISS. This means that with the help of a waterproof TiZip zipper, you can use the tubes on the rack as internal storage space. It is now possible to transport large amounts of equipment inside the packer without taking up any available seating space.

MRS uses TiZip's best chain in its packrafts, Masterseal 10, which withstands pressure tests up to 500 mbar.

Transporting packing inside the pack truck has many advantages:

• Everything carried inside the ISS is guaranteed to stay dry. Two (huge) waterproof packing bags with roll closure are also included with the purchase. The bags have a size of 130x30cm.
• Packing the tubes through the ISS lowers the center of gravity, resulting in a more stable ride.
• A huge increase in packable surface compared to the same model without ISS.

The disadvantage of the ISS is that it is not possible to access the packing inside the packraft without letting the air out. Therefore, the ISS is particularly suitable for transporting camp equipment such as tents, sleeping bags, most of the food for the trip, etc.

Fena

All MRS Packrafts come with a removable fin to increase course stability and maximum speed when paddling.

Material

All MRS models are made of polyurethane-coated nylon fabric, a material that is UV-tolerant, abrasion-resistant, resistant to aging and flexible even at low temperatures. The boat has sewn and welded joints.

The nylon tubes of the Barracuda R2 Pro are coated with an extra layer of urethane which further increases its durability. The Aramid fiber bottom material is extremely resistant to tears/abrasions. Barracuda R2 is durable, UV-tolerant and flexible even at low temperatures.

What is included?

The MRS Barracuda R2 Pro comes with a removable two-person canopy, ISS, frames and skirts, repair material (not glue), inflation bag, advanced seats and comfortable backrests, the front of which is adjustable, two waterproof packing bags for the ISS, and a fin.

Tuber: 210 Denier UPN35 Nylon, coated with TPU on one side.
Bottom: 840 Denier UPN35 Nylon, coated with TPU on both sides.
Seat: 210 Denier laminated nylon.
Canopy: 70D Ripstop Nylon.

MRS is fully involved in the development process of the materials it uses, and has its own product development. The TPU material that MRS exclusively uses is developed in close cooperation with a large American company in order to offer customers the highest possible quality.

Pack size and load capacity

The MRS Barracuda R2 Pro has a relatively small pack volume, about 60x40cm.

Maximum load capacity is 300 kg.

Why Packraft Sverige?

We are often asked by customers why they should buy a packraft from us, when they can find cheaper packrafts online. We think there are some reasonable reasons.

1. First of all, it's about knowledge. We have been selling and renting packrafts since 2015 and have learned a lot over the years. We know our customers and we know our products. We want to and will at all costs make the customer happy by providing fast and knowledgeable service.
2. You are supporting a 'local' retailer. We are located in Tived, just outside the Tived National Park. You don't have to wait for weeks for the packaging you bought from other countries to arrive in Sweden. And you always pay the price that is stated - no hidden import costs, customs duties or other charges.
3. Buying cheap doesn't usually make it cheaper. The products we sell may cost a little more, but in return you get a better product from a salesperson who knows everything about it.
