MRS Surveyor

MRS Surveyor is a packraft where the focus has been on developing a really fast but at the same time unusually light packraft that fits perfectly in a combination of hiking and paddling. Surveyor weighs only 2.4 kilograms complete and then includes an advanced backrest and a seat.

Area of use

The MRS Surveyor, like the MRS Minnow, is a packraft best suited for combining longer hikes with paddling. The Surveyor is slightly heavier than the Minnow, but has a longer waterline and more streamlined design, making it faster in the water.

Neither Surveyor nor Minnow are equipped with canopies, which means you save weight, but you have to think twice about how you dress when paddling.

If you like the design of the Surveyor but want a fully equipped packraft with a canopy for longer, faster paddles, we recommend the MRS Nomad.

Design

The packraft is symmetrically designed with a stern that looks the same as the bow. At the rear end of the bottom is a bracket for the fin. The mesh backrest is adjustable to suit you. Both the seat and backrest are easy to remove, allowing you to save additional weight if necessary.

The packraft is relatively narrow and long, and the protruding seat makes you sit a little more centered than in many other packrafts - something that brings to mind a regular kayak.

The color of the MRS Surveyor is white - a color that is not only beautiful to look at but also stands out well in nature. It also looks great in pictures!

Another advantage of white is that the color keeps the packing cooler - which in turn means that the air pressure of the packing will not vary as much due to temperature differences.

The bow has four attachment points for backpacks or other equipment.

As low weight has been prioritized in the design of the Surveyor, it is delivered without a canopy.

Fin/skid

The packraft has an integrated fin. The fin improves the tracking stability of the packraft. If you are going to paddle over longer distances, where grounding is not a major risk, we highly recommend using the fin. If you know you will be paddling in shallow areas, we recommend you remove the fin to avoid damaging it.
