Vikingraft Phantom is a lightweight and very durable packraft without a canopy for one person. The packraft is equipped with large tubes, which is a prerequisite for transporting both heavy loads, dogs, etc.

Area of use

Packrafting - the phenomenon that takes outdoor life to new levels! Equipped with a packraft and paddle in your backpack, you can go to places and waters in nature where no one has set foot before. A packraft rolls up into a small package and can easily be put in your backpack.

A packraft without a canopy is primarily used by people who are looking to keep the weight of their equipment as low as possible. Another reason to opt out of the canopy is to minimize the number of parts on the packraft that could possibly break. Vikingraft Phantom is appreciated by fishermen and hunters, because when fishing and hunting you usually want to have plenty of space around you for various equipment.

Design

Vikingraft Phantom is a relatively long packraft with its 276 centimeters outer length. 135 centimeters inner length provides plenty of space for even the tallest of paddlers. Shorter paddlers will benefit from equipping the Phantom with an Advanced Footrest from MRS, to shorten the inner length. The wide tubes give the pack a high load-bearing capacity, which is particularly suitable for large and tall people (or paddlers who carry a lot of luggage).

The Phantom is fast in the water thanks to its parallel tubes and long, streamlined waterline. The removable fin (included in the purchase) makes the packing power even faster and significantly improves course stability.

The packraft is delivered with a seat and backrest that can easily be removed from the packraft using buckles, if you want to minimize the weight or in case of repair.

Equipment can be attached to Vikingraft Phantom through four strong attachment points both front and rear - a total of 8 pieces. In the stern, we recommend strapping an Anfibio Deckpack and in the bow you strap your slightly heavier backpack or bag.

Carrying handles are available at the front, back and inside of the tube for easy transportation over land. The carrying handles can also be used as attachment points for carbines, for example.

Fin/skid

The packraft has an integrated fin. The fin improves the tracking stability of the packraft. If you are going to paddle over longer distances, where grounding is not a major risk, we highly recommend using the fin. If you know you will be paddling in shallow areas, we recommend you remove the fin to avoid damaging it.
