Anfibio Rebel 3KL+
The Anfibio Rebel 3KL+ is a further development and variant of the popular Anfibio Rebel 2K. With its symmetrical shape, central seating position and long stern, the Rebel 3KL+ offers a lot of paddling pleasure and high comfort even during long trips and in lighter rapids. Equipped with a canopy and fin, it is ready for any adventure.
Thanks to its length, it is particularly suitable for tall people. It also offers extra buoyancy and load capacity. Despite its size, the Anfibio Rebel 3KL+ weighs only about 3 kg and allows versatile use for any packrafting adventure - both on land and water.
Area of use
The Anfibio Rebel 3KL+ is particularly suitable for tall people (up to 195 cm) who need extra internal length for a more comfortable sitting position. At the same time, it is a very good option for people with a lot of luggage.
Thanks to its design as a long single packraft, the Anfibio Rebel 3KL+ offers a lot of pleasure on longer trips in calm waters as well as in smaller rapids. Despite its extensive equipment, it is a packraft in the lighter segment. With its 3 kg and a pack size of 35 x 20 cm, it is definitely still suitable for a combination of hiking and paddling. If you are looking for less weight, the Anfibio Rebel 2K may be a better choice.
Design
The Anfibio Rebel 3KL+ weighs 3 kg (one kilo more than the 2K) and gives you 41 cm extra length (hence the "L" in the name) as well as several extra features that, above all, increase paddling comfort:
- Enough extra legroom even for tall people or people with long legs
- Comfortable, variable seating position thanks to an innovative seating system
- More cargo capacity thanks to higher buoyancy and various storage options (behind the seat, in front of the feet, on the tubes, etc.)
- Higher speed thanks to the overall length of the boat of 272 cm
- Robust construction (the packraft is entirely made of Anfibio's reinforced Plus(+) material)
The Rebel 3KL+ is symmetrically designed, which means that the bow and stern are designed in the same way, with a length of 52 cm. The tubes have a diameter of 27 cm, which is enough to carry up to 180 kilograms. The tubes are parallel to each other, which means that the packraft can achieve a relatively high speed, compared to several other manufacturers' models. All Anfibio packrafts are made of Anfibio's brand new reinforced Plus(+) material. 8 grabloops (attachment points) are placed at strategic locations on the packraft. The packraft is equipped with the very simple and reliable Boston valve, also used by MRS.
chapel
The packraft is equipped with a canopy that protects against rain and water splashes, and provides warmth in colder weather. When it's hot and dry outside, the J-shaped opening on the canopy can be attached to the side of the cockpit using a zipper and Velcro, so that you instead have an open cockpit without a canopy. The canopy has no loose parts that risk disappearing on your trips. All seams on the canopy are seam-sealed, so that water is prevented from penetrating.
Tubebags
Tubebags are the name of Anfibio's internal storage system, available as an option when purchasing a Rebel. Using two zippers on either side of the cockpit, it is possible to store equipment inside the tubes of the packraft. Each zipper conceals its own, fully waterproof, storage compartment of 70 liters each. We call these compartments 'chambers' because they are separate from the large chamber that makes up the rest of the packraft. Even if one of the zippers were to accidentally open out on the water, the packraft still retains the air pressure in the large chamber. Because of this, tubebags are not only a great way to store equipment, they also provide extra peace of mind.
To use the tubebags, Anfibio recommends first opening the zipper, packing the equipment (filling the two storage chambers), closing the zippers and inflating the large chamber. When it is time to remove the equipment from the tubebags, Anfibio recommends opening the valve to the large chamber first, then opening the zippers and removing the equipment.
Fin/skid
The packraft has an integrated fin. The fin improves the tracking stability of the packraft. If you are going to paddle over longer distances, where grounding is not a major risk, we highly recommend using the fin. If you know you will be paddling in shallow areas, we recommend you remove the fin to avoid damaging it. The fin is an optional accessory.

2 reviews of the Anfibio Rebel 3KL+ – a longer one-person packraft
Large and comfortable packraft. Stable in waves and wind (for an inflatable boat). The fin attachment isn’t the best, and it’s easy to lose it (tie it down!). The fin makes a big difference in stability, so it’s a must-have accessory. The cover’s zipper is sometimes hard to close, especially if you have cargo on the boat—close it before loading; only half of the cover has a zipper. Very nice boat!
Fast, roomy and breathable quality. It is large and works perfectly for me who is 190 cm. If you are taller than that, you should probably test before buying because it can be tricky to fit your legs.
Tube pockets swallow plenty of luggage and there is some space behind the seat too. If you are a little frugal with the packing, you can fit what you need without having packing on the bow.
It comes with a fin that you can do without, but I feel that this raft is a little more difficult to paddle than others. It wants to turn up against the wind.
